Carson: ‘Probably’ Better People Than Trump
But Carson, speaking to host John Catsimatidis, said Trump is the person running who is mostly likely to restore faith in government.
“Nobody believes in the government anymore,” Carson said. “Everybody believes that we are weak, we are weak on the world stage, we are not doing things that make sense economically.”
Trump is “probably the person who is most likely to do that,” Carson said, but added: “Are there better people? Probably.”
The establishment in the Republican Party is “scared out of their wits” at the possibility of a Trump presidency, Carson said, because they don’t have control over him.
